Google Pack is a software package with essential programs offered for free by Google. To keep our programs up to date, Google brings the Google Updater, a tool that handles, downloads, installs and updates the programs that are available. It shows the latest versions and upgrades available, and offers the option to install them if needed.
Among the programs that we can download and update are: Google Desktop, Picasa, Google Tool Bar, Google Talk, Google Earth and the Chrome Browser. You can also download other applications that are not the Google brand, which are: Mozilla Firefox, Norton Security Scan, Spyware Doctor, RealPlayer, Skype, Adobe Reader 9 and others. We can look for updates manually, or set the program to perform this task automatically.
Available for Windows XP and Windows Vista, this program has been developed in several languages. If you do not want the Google Updater, you can uninstall it without losing the installed applications.
Version 2.4 features some improvements, as well as some fixed vulnerabilities. However, there are still installation problems with applications not developed by Google.
